2015 - 2016 AAPG Scholarship Winners Selected

We are pleased to announce that our AAPG Scholarship Assessment Team has selected the 2015-2016 Asian Parent Group $500 Scholarship Award winners.

2015-2016 Aragon Asian Parent Group Scholarship Winners

·       Tyler Khun

·       Akshay Bodla

·       Juliet Bost

·       Angelique Gomez

·       Carolin Jia

·       Lea Tan

·       Je Kyung Lee

We would like to thank our Assessment Team, a dedicated group who spent hours evaluating our students’ essays. They selected seven (7) Aragon recipients (freshmen through seniors) for their wonderful writing and positive outlook as Asians in America.

Your dedication sends a wonderful, positive message to Aragon students, and we applaud you!

  • Ms. Tiffany Wang, AS English teacher, AVID teacher, GATE program advisor;
  • Ms. Jennifer Wei, English teacher, AP English teacher, Guided Studies teacher; and
  • Ms. Lisa Lee, AAPG Vice President of Events and Aragon parent.

The writing prompt for this year was:

How has the experience of Asians in America, or your own experience as an Asian American:

  1. influenced and shaped the person you are today,
  2. helped you relate to the experiences of other people of color in the U.S., and
  3. influenced how you hope to better yourself and others around you.

We would also like to thank our AAPG families for your support. We are able to present these scholarship awards through your AAPG family membership fees, a small amount of fundraising, plus a generous donation by the grandparent of an Aragon student. Thank you again, Ms. Lam

[We welcome donations and sponsorship by your families or companies. We are a 501.c.3 organization, under the auspices of the Aragon PTSO.]

“Take a Break from Studying” Pool Party and Gathering

On May 1, a number of AAPG families enjoyed the afternoon, sharing experiences from the school year, college plans, and eating tasty treats from dim sum to pizza, watermelon to baked goods.

Many thanks to AAPG Executive VP Angela An and the An-Duan family for their warm hospitality.

Best Wishes and Congratulations to our Graduating Seniors!

We wish your children and you a successful end to the school year, and much joy in the years ahead for your soon-to-be graduates.

We Wish You a Happy Summer!

Consider Volunteering Next Year!

Feel free to email any questions to Lynn Yokoe at or to any Board member!
