Class 2013 Senior Parents

There are a few last volunteer opportunities:

 

We need two parents per week to help with Grad Night ticket sales during lunch on Wednesdays May 1st, May 8th and May 15th. The time is from 11:18 - 12:03.

 

We are looking for volunteers to help check-in students for the Grad Night buses. This will take place from 9:00 pm - 9:45 pm after graduation on May 30th.

 

Also we are looking for a team of two people to drive up to San Francisco before the buses and make sure that the boat is there and facilitate loading all the students on the cruise. You would need to arrive at the Pier in San Francisco by 10:00 pm and would leave San Francisco by 11:00 pm on May 30th.

 

Lastly, we are looking for many parent volunteers for Senior Activities Day. Here is a link to the Volunteer Spot sign up. There are jobs large and small! http://vols.pt/MdsgK5 

 

The last Senior Activities Committee meeting will be Wednesday May 8th at 7:00 pm in the Aragon Library. This will be an important meeting where we finalize grad night and senior activities day. If you missed the other meetings, don't let that stop you!

Senior Parent Activities Committee Members

Planning for your senior's final year at Aragon is filled with many tasks and details.  To help you with the planning process, prior years' notes, budgets and other helpful files have been saved in the Senior Parent Activities Group section of Schoolloop.  To access:

  1. Log in to Schoolloop

  2. Once you are in My Portal, click on the Groups icon in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click on the Senior Parents Activity Group link

Please continue to keep current this valuable resource area and post your notes, budgets, etc. to Schoolloop.  It will makes the job of planning for next year's Senior parents that much easier!

Donations Needed

Dear Aragon Senior Parent:

The Aragon Senior Activities Parent Committee has begun organizing various events in celebration of the students’ achievements. We welcome all parents and hope you will pledge your time and personal support.

Please join us at our monthly meetings on the following Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm in the Library: Oct. 10, Nov. 7, Dec. 5, Jan. 9, Feb. 6, March 6, April 10, and May 8.

 

We are also asking for your initial monetary support to help offset the expenses for senior events:

  • Senior Snacks—special monthly treats at brunch for seniors only

  • Senior Activity Day on May 20—breakfast snacks and BBQ lunch

  • Grad Night on May 30—to provide scholarships, and to help lower ticket price for all students who attend

  • Plus, a few surprises for the soon to be graduates

 

Please be as generous as possible. Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated. The committee is recommending a minimum donation of $30.00.
